Well. . . several years ago our board decided to move the annual picnic from August to June - because of the heat. So, even though it was cooler, we had to deal with the rain! But, it did work out. The rain held off for the dedication of the bench for Tom Piper at County Park. The creation of the site was the Eagle Scout Project of my great-nephew, Zachary Landwehr. A nice crowd was there that included members of:  appleJAC, Tom’s family, Tom's camping club, the JC Chamber of Commerce, and others. After a beautiful blessing by Paula Hartsfield, the food was served and it was delicious - as usual. Thanks to Mark Snell and his helpers Joe Mertzlufft and my husband John, the burgers were great! Thanks to those members who brought their delicious dishes. And thanks to Sue Snell for assisting Ann Lane with her culinary expertise in cutting the 🍅 and 🧅. And thanks to Julie Koenigsfeld  for the festive table cloths. Thanks to the rest of the board for pitching in with the rest of the help when it was needed. Enjoy the pictures below.
